Good Friday

After being betrayed by Judas Iscariot, Jesus was arrested. He was taken before the Sanhedrin, and the High Priest where they began to interrogate Him. In Luke 22:67-70, We see some of this dialogue. It reads, “If You are the Christ, tell us’ But He said to them, ‘If I tell you , you will not believe; and if I ask a question, you will not answer. But from now on THE SON OF MAN WILL BE SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND of the power OF GOD.’ And they all said, ‘Are You the Son of God then?’ And He said to them, ‘Yes, I am.” What happened next is described in the book of Mark. Hosanna!

Hosanna in the highest!

When Jesus entered Jerusalem on what we now call Palm Sunday, He knew that His time was near. Matthew 21:6-9, “So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them. And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: ‘Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD! Hosanna in the highest!” (NKJV)
